I know...It has been FOREVER since I updated this story. I have been busy (look at my journals on deviantART) but here is the next chapter of “Lullaby”!!!

Disclaimer: I do not own TMNT. Trust me, it is better that matter what I think.

Leo grumbled as he finally finished cleaning up the mess his brother and his....niece made. The floor had been moped up and cleaned. Now it was time to report to the dojo...Swell. Leo sighed and made his way to the dojo, feeling an uneasy emotion in his gut. The leader slowly approached the door and entered the room. Splinter was sitting on the far side of the room, candles glowing.

“Enter Leonardo.” ordered the wise rat.

Leo slid into the dojo and closed the doors. He felt like a cow led to the slaughter house. The taller mutant sat down in front of his sensei and looked at the ground, his oh so fearless courage fleeing like a cat being chased by a five year old.

Splinter flicked his tail, a low thump coming from the ground. “My son, I love you and care for you but I do not know why that you must insist on trying to raise Raphael's daughter.”

Leo's hands transformed into fists, a heated glare coming from Leo's steel grey eyes. “Because sensei, Raph doesn't know what he is doing, like always. He is clearly not raising her right and it will reflect badly upon our family.”

The older mutant's tail flicked against the ground again. Splinter sighed and retorted, “Leonardo, there are no rules, guidelines or anything when it comes to parenthood. Most of it is trial and error. I have raised you and your brothers the way all parents do and that is loving you through it all.”

The turtle looked back down at his hands, sitting there as he thought about what his father said....

Raph sighed as he made his daughter lunch. Hana was sitting at the table, coloring in her coloring book. Don was out with April, hunting for more books at thrift stores while Mikey was helping Casey with something. Leo had not shown up since the whole Water War debacle. Splinter was currently watching a movie in his room and it made Raph wonder what was going to happen next. The red banded ninja shook his head and went back to making some grilled cheese sandwiches for himself and Hana.

He felt a tug on his belt, making him look down. Hana was standing next to him and was smiling. In her hands was a large piece of paper, making Raph worry slightly before remembering that Don gave her some paper to draw on. A smile came over the father's face and he spoke to his daughter.

“What is it Hana?”

Hana giggled and showed him the picture she drew. It was a picture of her Uncle Leo doing some least, that is what it looked an extent. Raph continued to stare at the picture and realized that Leo had a cape on, the same color as his mask. The smaller turtle giggled and said, “It be Uncle Leo!!! He be a super hero!!!”

Raph smiled and told his daughter, “Why don't you go show him? I bet he would like it very much.”

Hana's violet eyes widened before a face breaking smile overcame her face. “Okay!!!”

She ran from the kitchen and made her way to the dojo, the most likely place where he was. Only he wasn't there. Hana pouted, annoyed that her uncle was missing. The black haired mutant decided to see if he went to take a shower, as he usually did after his practice. After traveling up to the bathroom, she discovered that he wasn't there. A glare covered her face and she decided to see if he was in his room, the one place she had never ventured into.

Hana went up to her uncle's bedroom door and gulped. She sighed and took a deep breath. Her chubby hand reached up and turned the knob, slowly creaking the door. A wince covered her face as she heard the noise. Hana peeked in to see her Uncle Leo sitting on a mat, meditating. A soft smile covered her face and she slowly slid into the room. Leo didn't move. Hana placed the picture in front of her uncle on the floor and high tailed it out of there. The room smelled funny and she wanted to eat her lunch. Leo would see the picture when he stopped his boring meditating anyway....

Leo sighed and opened his eyes. Meditating was one of his favorite ways to center himself and was glad he did. The blue banded ninja went to stand only to pause. Staring at him was a piece of paper. A frown covered his face as he reached out to grasp it. Leo's steel grey eyes widened as he saw what it was. It was a picture that Hana clearly drew. On it was a drawing of him standing in some kind of pose with one of his swords out. He was wearing a cape that was the same color as his mask. On the bottom in black crayon was “Unkle Leo is my Hero!!”

Leo stared at it and blinked. He felt tears in his eyes and realized what he had done. He was pinning the sins of the father on an innocent child. The fearless leader got up, picture in hand and gently tacked it to the cork board he had. A watery smile overcame his face as he stared at it...

And I know, a short chapter but hey, at least it is a chapter :)

There's nothing wrong with even aunts or uncles wanting to help the parents raise their siblings' kids. That way, even the kids get to know them and have a bond with them as well. I even have a good bond with one of my aunts, she's like a hero to me as well.
